Sol de Janeiro is a viral American skincare and fragrance company founded by Heela Yang in 2015. Trending currently on TikTok, this line can be found in stores such as Sephora. Sol de Janeiro is known for its Brazil beach inspired culture. Sol de Janeiro is majority-owned by Groupe L'Occitane.

Yang (Korean-American) has worked as a manager at Lancǒme and as the director of marketing at Clinique. She graduated from Harvard University. Yang holds a MBA from the university. She has experienced the vibrant Brazilian beach culture while living there for two years. This was her main inspiration.
